Non pneumatic tires

At work we have a Polaris sxs that came with a set of the non pneumatic tires. This thing has about 500 miles on it. They didn't rotate them every 20 miles (or ever) but the rears are shot.

Never seen that before. Since they are airless what are the disadvantages? Obviously you can't air down, but also you can't get a flat.

looks like the owner liked burnouts :cheesy:

I guess you won't ever get a flat, but evidently they wear like an ice cream cone on a Tijuana Saturday night.

It is pretty evedent from the photos that the "rear tires" where abused. they even have visible hot spots... most likely from spinning them excessively...

Yup- they've been smoked non stop for those 500 miles.

This hunk of shit won't even do a burn out. It's governed to a top speed of 20mph.
