Is this tire size not too wide for stock wheels? I was looking at doing the same size but was thinking maybe the wheels might not be wide enough.

No its not too wide you will just have to run wheel spacers because the backspacing of the stock rims is too high.

As overlander said. It will work. WOL also notes you'll need to run a 1" spacer or trim ur fenders.
