Hi my name is Paul and I have a 2011 jeep Rubicon with a 2.5 inch lift ( here's the link) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rough-Count...ash=item544048cba8:g:JZkAAOSwKytZE5jw&vxp=mtr

I know its not anything spectacular but i wanted a little bit of lift and not knowing anything about lifts this was a good starter one as reading the reviews and such.

So I have a question.... while driving down the road or e-way it kinda feels like swaying or body rocking ( never had a jeep remember so the terms are kinda weird lol)

everything in the front has been checked out but the shocks (they were new about 8 months ago) should I upgrade the shocks to a 2.5" lift shock and change out the springs to 2.5" ?

My wife says its kinda scary to drive any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks

ok I will check it out but not really mechanically inclined lol. Thanks for the info

To check your caster you really don't have to be mechanically inclined. With a $10 magnetic angle finder from HD/Lowes/HF and that instructional thread you can at least rule out the caster issue without getting ripped off by an alignment shop telling you differently.

I had an issue like this after my RC lift. I installed Rancho geometry correction brackets and it solved my issue. After I lifted my jeep my caster was in the low 3s. With the brackets you lose a little clearance but you gain on road stability. If you are not a hard core jeeper the caster cam bolts could be a cheaper solution.

I have the 2.5 RC lift and the dealer installed the cam bolts when I took it in for alignment.......:grayno: I wish they hadn't. You would be better off buying adjustable lower control arms. If I'm wrong I am sure i will be corrected. Everything I have been reading on here says..cam bolts isn't the way to go.

Also check your tire pressure. Low pressure will give the sway effect.

That's why I went with the geometry corection brackets by Rancho. They are less than control arms and have multiple upper control arm positions to correct the caster. I am on the 3.5 inch RC lift. I didn't go with cam bolts as they don't have that much adjustment and can be knocked out position while wheeling.
