Caught the Bug
i currently have a 2 door jk with a 3.5'' rough country lift, jks adj. track bar and 315/70R17 on black rock steelies. My buddy has infamous rims and 285/70R17s nitto trail grapplers. We were talking about trading my lift set up and wheels and tires for his wheels and tires, plus his 98 xj. the xj is lifted on 31s, roof rack, and 3'' lift. The xj currently does not run right, it needs new exhaust from headers on down, and is filthy inside. is this a good deal or should i not do it. i plan to use the xj as a daily when i get it fixed to save my unlimited as my weekend warrior.

Having just replaced my XJ with a new JKU, I can say it makes me smile every time I don't have to drive the XJ.

Sure it was a fine daily driver when it was all I had, but I couldn't drive it everyday knowing the JK was sitting in the driveway.

Yeah I don't like that at all. The jk is a much better DD than more-than-decade-old xj that doesn't currently run. And it would be an even better DD after dropping to 33's. Add to that the fact the xj won't get any better mileage than your jk and it's just lose all around for you.

Well I decided on the switch anyway to fix it up and sell it for new jeep parts for my four door jk. The 2 door jk is back at stock hight running 33s and it will be traded in for a 14 grand Cherokee in the next few months. So don't worry, I will still have my built jkur on 37s as my dd
