Lunar Eclipse Tonight!

Hey everyone, just wanted to remind all of you that in addition to Mars passing only 57 million miles of Earth tonight — the closest approach since January 2008, we will also get to see a total eclipse of the moon as well!

Well according to this it'll still be after 1AM. It wouldn't happen at the same time for everyone. Otherwise Hawaii would have it at like 7:30 at night. :thinking:

Unfortunately, there are some high clouds preventing a clearer view of the moon but, it still looks pretty cool - a dark red for sure.

We have the same thing with some breaks in the clouds here and there from but still a pretty good view considering it snowed tonight with about an inch on the ground.

It was truly spectacular in Santa Barbara, our flight from Denver arrived at 12 midnight and we pulled our car over from 1230 to 1am - amazing clarity and probably the first blood moon I've ever seen.
Mars was really obvious as well.
