Lower Intake manifold swap.

My question is this, will a lower Intake manifold from a 2017 Jk swap to the 2020 Jt? I have a metal manifold and really would like to use it.
I believe they are putting JL intakes on JK's so why not the opposite?..... school me on this!

I have it anyway so when I do a Tune up I'm going to swap out the manifold and metal oil cooler and have that out of the way.
 
I think it'll bolt on, but won't work as well as the factory one. The JK guys put the JL ones on since they flow better.
 
Some JK guys port the factory ones, I'm thinking of doing the same on the metal one,
Can't hurt to try.
 
The thing is I already have to take the top manifold off to perform the tune up, that and I'm going to replace the oil cooler as well,
so, after porting the lower manifold may as well install it seeing as how other than porting it there is really no extra labor in the install
because I'll port it before I begin the job. It will be spring before I do any of this and will dive deeper into this matter.

Have you considered the heat soak of the aluminum?
 
Ok so I opened, ported and polished the JK manifold and waiting for the Superchip coils and PCV valve. I have surgery coming up in a week and a half, when I have recovered enough I'm doing a complete block up project. Valve cover gaskets, metal oil cooler, metal lower intake , coils, spark plugs, and PCV valve. PXL_20250420_223504676.MP.jpg

A new PCV valve should be very exciting. Not much involving the engine is more interesting than Positive Crankcase Ventilation!
