Lift dilemma. advice appreciated.

A few weeks back I posed questions to all of you about lifts and decided on the EVO enforcer and stated saving pennies. Well the time is here and I am racking my brain on the right thing. Here is my question. I love the look of 37" tires, but question my sanity of getting them because it may be a can of worms I don`t want to open. The jeep is a 95% on road daily driver with the remaining time being spent on fire roads and trails here in Minnesota. The JKUR has 3:73 gears in it which will have to be changed whether I go 35" or 37", but will I be asking for a boat load of extra part wear by going 37"? I am 52 years old and have never waffled on anything like this, I am driving myself nuts. My list is 3" enforcer if I go 35" and maybe 4" for 37" or flat fenders? I will get Mopar bead locks, mostly for the looks because I am not rock crawling. Or I could save a ton of money and just get some RDR wheels and use the money for bumpers. Can any of you shed some light on me that may have struggled with any of the same questions? Thanks in advance, and this is an awesome place to hang out.

Im currently driving a 2015 2dr on 37s with atx slabs and 3.21 gears. Im saving my pennies also and hopefully regearing soon and adding a rear locker. Theres nothing wrong with running it on your 3.73s for a little while until you regear. If you want to run 37s my advice to you bare minimum for 37s would be,

4" enforcer lift with 37 tire package(4 door or 3" for 2 door)
Drag link flip
C gussets
Front driveshaft (4 door) front and rear for a 2 door

If you replace the rear DS on a 2 door you must get rear adjustable arms also.

Im currently running without the use of a procal and while annoying, its do able. Basically in general, your going to want to..

-Mount and balance tires
-Replace driveshaft
-Lift jeep
-Correct steering(drag link flip)
-Cut flares/check for clearance on your sliders and pinch seam
-Alignment/Procal

Anyone correct me if I'm missing anything

you can run 35" or 37" with the 3" lift. flat fenders with 37" tires and 3" bump stops front and back

We are in the same boat, 90% on road.

Went 35" Nitto TrailGraps with 3" lift, drag link flip and front adjustable lower LCA. Drives better than stock! Would recommend EVO parts where possible. They are well thought out and proven.

35s would be the economical route that will save you money in the long run and still make for a very capable off road vehicle and daily driver. I honestly don't think there's an advantage off road going with 37s over 35s since they're so close.
I decided on 37s since I knew I'd regret not getting them. I've wanted 37s for a long time and I know getting anything else would leave me wanting more. And they look badass ;) I also don't mind spending the money in the long run to support them.
FYI: I use mine as a daily driver on the freeway about 90 miles per day. And off road 1-3 times a month.

Yep... 35s and call it a day. With 3 inches of lift, the 35s will look fine. I have no experience with the EVO lifts. Usually going with a 4" lift then requires a drag link flip to get the steering geometry back into norm to regain decent driving manners. Not really sure that 37s will do much to your hardware since you said you're 95% on road.

I just went from my 2011 with 35's and bought my 2015 and put 37's with 4:11's and struggled with the choice as well. Wanted 37's but never pulled the trigger. Drove over the weekend from Denver to Minnesota and the drive was great and the Jeep looks great. Happy with my choice. End decision for me was, if I don't like the 37's, I'll change to 35's when they wear out. Easy choice.

with 35 you can use the stock tire carrier, are you also getting C gussets, and a tuner? you'll also need to plan for a front driveshaft, with 95% on road you won't need the driveshaft so soon.
with 37's you'll need front & rear driveshafts, steering assist (only consider when the stock steering box needs replacement which may be never), transmission cooler if you have an automatic and tire carrier/bumper, consider upgrading your brakes.
both will benefit from a gear change.

As mentioned, I might recommend you stick with 35's. It's a great tire size and one that is just made for the JK and one that can be run with a minimal amount of modifications. I ran this setup for quite a while on 2 of my JK's and would do it again without giving it a second thought if needed.

I appreciate all your replies, and I think I will take the 35" advice. If 37`s didn`t cause so many wear issues, it would be a no question that I would run them. I was hoping that since it will be mostly a daily driver that I would get more of the you will be fine advice. Now as far as gearing goes, is 4:45 with 35`s the ticket? It`s an auto 2013 JKUR. And thanks again.

I have a 2012 2 door and running 35s. Mine is an auto as well. I have 4:88s.
