Is it me...

That's understandable... They have mountains. These seem to be strictly "mall crawlers"

What's wrong with a mall crawler. We all know how capable the stock JK is, have you seen all of the bling cars you have to drive over to get a good parking spot?

Over the years I've owned three heavily modded CJ's and now a stock 2012 JKUR. While the JK is surprisingly capable off road, there is so much more to be had with even modest upgrades. So I'm cruising around in Scottsdale with a stone stocker and rubbing elbows with Hummers, Range Rovers, and JK's with 20's. Don't get me wrong, there are some really hardcore rigs here that are clearly used for their intended purpose. They're in the minority. I wave at all JK's I see and hope they wave at me through their illegally tinted windows. Even when the build is complete my JK won't be JK Experience ready, but it'll be the canvas I painted on. Gotta build up the treasury first. I love this forum for what I have learned and the tolerence most members have for JK Noobs.:yup:

This is the real reason we bought the JK. We're moving to Colorado next spring. It's home and we love wheelin' the Rockies.
Our new digs will be at 8000' and it does snow once in awhile.

Very well said!! Your right this forum is very informative and helpful to noobs.. I wouldn't say tolerant as I see most veterans are very eager to teach, share their experiences and build the community/ family. :)

I have owned 3 modified jeeps prior to my 2012 2 door in stock condition. This new jeep can handle everything I want to do with it right now. As I move and decide to use it in a different manner I can modify as I need it. Right now it trails perfect in stock form. That's what I love about my jeep. I even pass modified Jeepers that don't wave and I know they can see my hand sticking up over the window. :) Happy Jeeping!!

Theres actually a guy i know who drives a dakota and covers it in mud. He made a comment on facebook the other day about how sad it is to see all of these "new" jeeps around town that have cheap lifts and tires just for driving wround when he takes his pickup out and uses it for what a jeep is for.

As you can assume i was pissed but i was nice about it and just informed him that the jk crowd ( for the most part) keeps their vehicles pretty clean, even though they wheel the hell out of them. And invited him to come crawl the rock gardens of rausch creek any time with us rather than hit up the illegal mud pits behind the strip club on the city outskirts. I hate when people do that, from ehat i have heard its guys doing the illegal wheeling thats keeping trails closed in md.....

Once you pop the mod cherry it's over from that Point on

I don't always wheel , but when I do I keep it tight......... Stay dirty my friends.

I hate when you go wave at a stock jeep and most of the time, its a high school kid that looks at u like Ur crazy then I start thinking why did I wave at him anyways. My jeeep is stock besides the lift but I know the basic jeeper rules:flag_bs:

I live in a small town and there are a lot of stock jks in my area and only about half of them wave and the other half thinks I'm an idiot lol. I don't have a problem with stock jeeps at all I am the kind of person that wants to built something my own way and have it look a lil bit different then everyone elses
