Installing new Axles Gearing Question?

2011 JKU

I'm swapping in a new set of Axles, but waiting on some more parts for the front end. Going from 4.88 to 5.38 gears.

The Rear axle is ready to swap out. Would I run into any issues just swapping the rear axle, if I pull the front drive shaft? And just swap the front out later.

Wondering if the Wheel Speed sensors would put me in limp mode. Since the front is 4.88s and the rears are 5.38s. Even with the front driveshaft being pulled.

Wheel speed sensors will still be running the same speed. They are located at the wheel so gearing makes no difference. Only different tire size would cause limp mode. I did the same thing when I went from 3:73 to 4:88. Pulled the front drive shaft till I completed the job.

What Jesse says is correct. I ran different gearing front and rear for about a year until I had the space to do the front. Front drive shaft was in the whole time.
