high clearance exhaust options?

I am curently running an AFE exhaust setup, which has more clearance than stock and a nice tone (and supposedly some slight HP gain), but I want to open that area up :) I want to add room and clearance in the back of the JK and am looking into a few options for high clearance exhaust. I would like to keep a decent no drone tone, (and heck no ricer sound) along with some HP gain.

Came across a great thread from Eddie here on the Dynomax setup, but since it is a few years old wanted to check if anyone has tried anything newer since then? I looked into the Dyno option but want the exhaust to dump behind the rear of the axle. I am trying to keep this project in a $200 or so budget in case I do not like the sound and end up changing the muffler again.

I run the dynomax rockcrawler and the Evo on my 2011 2 door. Love the sound of both. I just can't run the Evo pipe technically cause of state inspections so switching back to the rock crawler pipe soon

Guys , great info thanks. I will check the vids. Am hoping for nottoo much noise, but good power and dump by the rear axle. I am wondering if the AEF I have would fit in the frame space where the dynomax setup is, keeping the same sound and then extending the tailpipe. Nothing to lose since I already have it there and like the current tune...May be sawzall time :)

I'll be following this thread. My stock exuast is on its way out and I'd like to gain some clearance with my replacement.

You have a different engine, and I have a 2 door, but I'll throw this out there for the Pentastar peeps. I put this on mine, & it sounds really good. Not too loud, but you know it's there, and it will really growl. It's one of the more pleasant toned mufflers for a V6, I've ever heard. There is no drone, at all. That's coming from a 47 year old man, who ain't into Fast and Furious cars. I like V8's.

I just put the dynomax catback system on last weekend. Love it so far. Easy install as well which is always a plus!
