I have a 2013 Rubicon JK, unfortunately I have had many issues with the engine and cooling etc.
The original 3.6 is running great but is using oil so am trying to decide what engine to go with.
I know of a 2020 JT 3.6 for sale but sounds like it may not be a direct swap so also looking at what all is involved with a Hemi swap probably a 6.4.
Any data toward either of these swaps would be appreciated.

JT 3.6 won’t be a plug and play. A 6.4 is more involved. You can get a JK 3.6 from a junkyard or similar and swap in a weekend. That’s what I did.
 
Swapping a complete engine platform is always going to be a lengthy process. I agree with the others that say just get a junkyard 3.6. You can rebuild it at your pace (or pay someone to do it) and that is definitely plug and play.

After much research it appears the JL and JT engines are not a direct swap.
The Hemi's have become much more expensive due to the supply chain issues etc.
So I purchased a 3.6 out of a 2016 Wrangler with 41K miles on it from Gasoline Alley.
I am told I only need to change the oil pressure switch to my 2013 as well as my oil filter adapter.
Other than that a direct replacement even though the engine internals were modified for that year ( increased compression and larger intake)
If anyone has any information that supports this or doesn't support this I would like to hear it now before I do the swap next month.

You don’t need to change that. You just buy your oil filter for a 2016 instead of a 2013.
