GREEN is the Color of TOXIC WASTE

Just to put this into perspective, the following is an article that was published in the LA Times today. As in, it’s far from being some kind of right wing climate denying publication. Anyway, I found it to be very informative and honest about what going 'green' with solar really means.

All this ‘green’ stuff is what a friend would call: “Too smart by half”. In other words it’s idiotic.

None of this has been thought through to it’s conclusion. The so called green movement is composed largely of simpletons who believe without question and individuals who are simply about making $. Of course when you figure in the amount tax dollars used in these scams we taxpayers are getting screwed (once again!)

That's the part that really pisses me off - the fact that we as tax payers are footing so much of the bill on 'green' subsidies.

Just some of the key highlights in this article...

"...only 1 in 10 panels are actually recycled"

"Although 80% of a typical photovoltaic panel is made of recyclable materials, disassembling them and recovering the glass, silver and silicon is extremely difficult."

"Recycling solar panels isn’t a simple process. Highly specialized equipment and workers are needed to separate the aluminum frame and junction box from the panel without shattering it into glass shards. Specialized furnaces are used to heat panels to recover silicon. In most states, panels are classified as hazardous materials, which require expensive restrictions on packaging, transport and storage."

"The vast majority of We Recycle Solar’s business comes from California, but the company has no facilities in the state. Instead, the panels are trucked to a site in Yuma, Ariz. That’s because California’s rigorous permitting system for toxic materials makes it exceedingly difficult to set up shop..."

windmill parts are already piling up in an area outside of Amarillo.
There's a pile of waste that's been growing over the last 5 years, most recent trip across the area I noticed they moved it behind a mound or the mound is covering the waste.

for all the shit they do in california in the name of pollution or green, they still have the dirtiest air and most waste that needs to be shipped out.

I wonder how quickly that waste will build up if the trucking companies quit. We may soon find out once their contract trucker regulations kick in and truckers can't work anymore.

All of their green ideas backfire: solar, compact fluorescent bulbs, wind mills, electric cars…. All of it produces far more carcinogens, toxins, pollutants, earth scaring eye sores than they lead people to believe. All the while they’re killing our economy and strength. Stupid sons of bitches.
