Gladiator Rubicon Corner Guards Modified to Work with EVO Rear Bumper

While it may not be the sexiest looking mod I've done on our Gladiator, it's one that I should have done a long time ago. Essentially, I took the factory rear corner guards that come on a Rubicon model JT, hacked off the brackets that would normally attached to bumper and then reinstalled them on to the frame rails for trail use. Needless to say, they work with our EVO rear bumper and I would imagine they would work with other bumpers as well. Best part is, they can be removed with ease for those times when they aren't needed. Anyway, here's a few shots of what I did.

Cutting off the bumper brackets.

Using a flap disk to smooth out the remaining welds.

Again, I know they aren't the sexiest things in the world but if they'll help out on the trail, I'll be happy to have them. :)

I think those will suit there purpose well. While I might agree sexy isn't the word of choice, they don't look bad at all.

Looks good, function over form, besides no one is going to focus in on those when they see your Gladiator lol

I agree with out the tubes looks better, but I wouldn’t sacrifice the protection they offer if you’d think they’d help

I doubt anyone will notice looking at the rest of that rig . One of my favorite JT’s just need to convince Motech to do the swap

The corner guards look pretty good! To me they don't look like too much of an eye sore and honestly if you didn't say anything I wouldn't of noticed. (y)

I agree, definitely worth the added protection. But they really aren't that noticeable on a build like that. Great job on modifying a part you already had.

I like it... I'm all about factory parts (when they work good enough) and re-using stuff whenever I can.
