I had Generals about 20 years ago. They only lasted about 15,000 miles. I hope they have improved since then.

Do you find them slippery in the rain? My dad had a set a couple years ago and told me they were not so good in the rain.

I have a set on my Canyon p/u. Love them, I find that the rubber is really soft so that's great out on the rocks, but I do find that they wear FAST! they work well in sand and mud, super sticky on pavement and rock.

Everything I've read says they are really heavy in any size, have you felt any power loss switching to this tire?

Very heavy KP. Not so hot in the rain but I've always liked the look of them.

Yeah, those things are one of the heavier, if not the HEAVIEST tire. More suited for a full size truck than a Jeep. Probably ok if you're not doing a lot of rock crawling.

I called DTD to order these in 285/75r16 today and he said they are on backorder and are waiting for General to make them. :sigh::idontknow:
