Playing chess with one of my kids. Any of you guys have designated game nights or specific games you play here and there?

Very cool, I started teaching my kids chess at 5 and 6. We play once or twice a week. Great tool to teach kids how to think and plan ahead. It’s great now because I needed to start paying attention or I get my ass handed to me by an 8 year old.

Same here. Started all of them about age 6 and they were frustrated. But now at 8-9, their little brains are working and strategizing. Cool to see them learn that way.
 
I never miss an opportunity to dominate a game of dominos or uno with my 7 year old.

I miss family game nights when I was younger those were good times. My parents got me started with chess around 5 or 6 and basically quit playing against me by the time I was 13 or 14. Now the only time I play is on chess.com here and there which just isn’t the same.
