First hand review on pitbull rocker (pics and comments)

Holeshot

Ok guys, I am looking forward of buying a set of 5 pitbull rocker LT radial in 35x12,5x17. A friend of mine just bought a set a 37's, but won't be ran until next spring, but I love the tire threads and compound.

I want a good overall tire. Here we have a lot of mud, swamps, sandy trails, few rock gardens, and my jk's a daily driver.

The goal of this thread is to gather informations, opinions, first hand reviews and photos on these tires. Please include the size and a short spec of the rig if possible.

So let's go! how did you like them, what kind of terrain you've put them through, how well they performed on and offroad, are they noisy and have a tendency for flat spots, etc!

Any comments appreciated

I've been running pitbull rockers for about 3 years maybe longer. I started with 35's and moved up to 37's and I love them. I live in Louisiana and you seem to run the same type of terrain so I would think you would have the same results. You will get around 35,000 out of them but you need to keep them rotated every 3000 miles. Both sets balanced good, first set with clamp weights 2nd set I went with ballance beads. The beads seem to work better for me. Since I've had mine I have had a few friends move away from interco tires for pits and they love them.

I have had my 37x12.5R15 Rockers since Jan 2010. They are on a heavy LJ

They are loud like a swamper, but with a different pitch. Best way to explain is like a Beaver float plane following you down the highway trying to take off.

In mud and dirt they tear it up. No problems at all.

Love the deep snow.

Not found them very confident on our wet, slimy west coast rock.

Drove them down I5 (1500km each way) to Rubicon. They do suck a few MPG and power out of the vehicle compared to my last tires, same size Interco Trxus. In that hot July sun, the tires warmed up and stuck nicely to the granite of the Rubicon trail.

None balanced well. Each tire took 10-16 oz. My same size Trxus took far less.

They have their place, but for my conditions, I would not buy them again.

I think I have 9oz in each tire. Compared to my 33 iroks they felt like a street tire. They are very heavy and sticky tire for sure.

I have 37x12.50x17's on atx slabs on a 2012 jku. I use them for rock crawling only and they work great for that. Awesome grip to rocks. The are noisy on the road

not a good pic of the pit bulls, quickest one I could find

yeah I have the zone 3". You're not having any rubbing issues with this setup? At full flex my tires are rubbing the top of the wheel well with my 35's, but the bump stops I got on the rear are not the one that came with the lift kit though.

I forgot about the 1 1/4" body lift.
