We didnt do any camping, but we spent the last week in Colorado - stayed at the Angler Inn in Placerville, about 15 miles from Telluride.
We spent a bit over 16 hours driving up, and we brought our dog Charlie with us for the trip. My wifes mother and step father were staying in Silverton, so on Monday and Tuesday we did some stuff with them on their 4 wheelers before they left for Salida.
Following them towards Animas

And everytime we went to Silverton to see them it was a 90 minute drive that was beautiful and windy, with a couple tunnels:

Our lunch spot on Tuesday:

This is Charlie, having a grand time up in the mountains:

We spent some time at Animas Forks, a ghost town north of Silverton

And saw this guy headed back to Silverton:

After they left the area we decided to hit a few more passes:
The wife drove Black Bear:

We also did Imogene out of Telluride. It was a bit rainy, but we got pics of Black Bear on the way up:

by the time we got to the top it was a bit wetter, and visibility was suffering

Hit up the Alpine Loop (Engineer and Cinnamon) too, with some wild life and a nice lunch in Lake City

We also saw lots of deer and elk around

But these 2 bears in the apple tree in Ouray was still a surprise:

And when we called it a day, were had a nice room with a great little outdoor space:

But this was Charlies favorite spot:

A great time, and we are already ready to head out for another trip!
