Confused with my axle gear choice

MI jeepskate

I went with a 4.88 gear ratio in my '10 auto and I'm going to be running 35's starting next week. Did I go to high? I feel the 33's I have on it now make the ratio overkill but others are saying otherwise. Flat out, will my jeep still perform well on the trail and road with the set up? Or did I make a mistake with 4.88 and not going 5.13? Thanks in advance

With a set of 35's, you'll be fine and if anything, glad that you went with 4.88's. 5.13's would have given you even more power BUT, you would have been running pretty high on the RPM's at highway speeds.

nope you made a good choice. 4.88's and 35's are a great pairing. now if you were planning on going larger at some point then yea you should have done 5.13's.

fwiw i have been running 5.13's and 35's for a while now but only because i want 37's. if i was going to stay at 35's i prob would have went 4.88's

edit- eddie beat me to it lol
