I like the sounds of that! :thumb:
There is a pretty good like 20min youtube vid I found of 2 guys in buggies that did Hal john and DAMN it's intense. Now I'm sure they were taking crazy lines on purpose but who knows how much is non bypassable including a good 8-10' shelf climb

If it gets put together and there's room I am totally down
Got an Airbnb booked for 16, 17, 18 April. It's like 3 miles from the bogus jim area. One of my buddies from work and the wife's are coming mostly for exploring the back roads up there and some point through the day on the 17th I'm gonna hit jake, fruity pebbles, and got milk. They all look pretty short and my buddy has a colorado bison edition so he may or may not give those trails a shot. Most likely we will cruise the bogus jim loop with stops at the 3 trails to run the jeep through them.

Just wanted to post a few photos of what I found out in the fruity pebbles, and Jake area last trip out. Made a seperate post about it on a different thread but for those following this one here is an update. Absolutely legit trails and something for everyone. Size reference on that last pic I am 5'9" 20210417_145144.jpg 20210417_143222.jpg 20210417_111155.jpg 20210417_112244.jpg

Out in the black hills again this weekend. Rolled about 1/2 down Camp 5 trail which parallels a gnarly creek bed. I think the creek is technically named Hal John. But memorial day weekend it was packed so didn't get to see as much as I wanted. However the parallel road is easy and makes anything bypassable and the creek will give anyone the chance to see what their rig is made of 20210529_113247.jpg 20210529_112256.jpg 20210529_113432.jpg 20210529_113743.jpg

Came down camp 5 road south bound. My intention was to hit the calamity canyon fork and check it out but we didn't even make it to the fork. The pictures above just that intersection would have taken an hour plus to get through with how many people were piled up there. Such is memorial day weekend and when the trail doesn't open until May 15th it's about what I expected
