Of course he is biased towards his sponsors.....that's kind of the deal with sponsors, they expect support from those that they sponsor. It would be like Dale Earnhardt Jr, who is sponsored by and races Chevy cars, talking about how great it would be to race a Ford, while Chevy is signing his paychecks.
Yep, I believe that's the point. After knowing Eddie for a few years now, he is a big boy and can hold his own ground with facts. If you knew his training and schooling , you would understand he is kind of a stickler for accuracy when he posts his opinion and makes certain to write facts and not just regurgitated internet legends that have been passed on between friends after multiple weekend beer drinking and jeep wrenching parties on the side of some guys double wide trailer.
I think most people on here have been at this level of skill, driving, and quality of build at some point in their offroading history. In fact the guy with a fat bank account, who buys into the sport with a $100k rig and has zero experience or common sense is definitely going to get more unfavorable treatment from anyone, on any forum, than the guy who can only buy the lowest end budget kit for his jeep. We have all been there, including Eddie. What you will notice are forum members here trying to coach someone who may be about to make an unnecessarily poor choice in purchase of 'brand X' manufacturer's suspension, or tires, or sliders, etc. by always giving the advice of "just wait and save money a little longer for the better part so you don't have to purchase twice"
The bottom line is cheaper is not always better, more expensive is not always better......better is exactly that, better.
Be a part of the forum, any forum, but be accurate with facts, don't spread rumors and hearsay, point things out that are factually inaccurate, and learn to take criticism. :thumb:
