ATX Slabs or Method 105 beadlocks

The Methods are not a bad wheel, plenty of the greatest pros in racing today use/are sponsored by Method and that should be enough credentials to prove they are worthy enough. I personally have never owned a set, only raced against guys running them, but I do like the looks of many of the ones that Method makes. Basically it comes down to a few criteria for me to choose a wheel- 1) Do race teams actually run the same ones I am going to be buying, because that should prove the durability for me. 2) When I walk out to my vehicle am I going to be able to look at these wheels everyday for years and say "man, I am glad I went with these"

So far my old Walker Evans wheels I ran for years on my F350 Super Duty and my Jeeps, now my ATX Slabs on my JK were able to fill those two criteria. I say go with the ones you like the most. I am now kind of partial to the new ATX Chamber Pro II's ;)

I haven't heard any complaints about the methods that I can remember. I can remember a lot of praise for the slabs. I'm on my second jeep. Second pair of slabs. Like GCM said, whichever you like more. I like slabs more.

ATX Chamber Pro II's ;)

Are these the same method bead locks that the race rigs use? I think this is a new model. So may not meet a good criteria point when dropping that much coin on bead locks.

The chamber pros are awesome. Wish they had the same backspacing as the slabs.

Jason, you know I am not certain, but they do list these wheels under their racing wheel offerings right next to the 101's and 201's which are their main race wheels in BAJA, SCORE, NOORA, BITD, and Ultra 4. These 105's are one of the newer models, but I would trust them, Method is one of the largest sponsors of racers in offroad motorsports,

I was lazy and didnt look. 😞 To be honest, I really like the chambers and was just trying to quickly dismiss the methods/others.

I like the idea of seeing which ones the race teams are using. I will never be pushing them that hard so they would stand up to anything I might throw at them. Will do some research at the Ultra4 Nationals this month. Will also check out the Chamber Pros

I run the chamber pros and like them a lot. They are different than slabs in design but also in backspacing. Slabs are 3.5 where the chambers are 4. I went with chambers because not everyone runs them and because of the 4" of backspacing.

Doesn't the chamber pros also have a dual valve stem setup? I could be wrong, but thought I saw that :hmm:

Does anyone remember which Method wheel it was that crossed the finishing line at KOH still intact after being run on its rims for the last 20 miles. I don't recall who's rig it was just Dave talking about it after the race. That says a lot to me about quality.

Could be Tom Wayes. I remember seeing him coming down the last hill on just a front driver rim.

Either Tom Wayes or maybe Jason Scherer, who also runs Methods. I believe he is listed on their website as one of their sponsored racers
