2017 SEMA KargoMaster White Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited

For a company that just makes roof racks and a few other overlanding type products, I have to say that I was surprised to see KargoMaster have so many Jeep JK Wranglers at the 2017 SEMA show. Granted, this white Unlimited might as well not have been being that it was located way out in left field.

What's the purpose of the shelf in front of the windshield...is this a step to access the front of the roof rack?
