2017 SEMA Daystar Offroadster

What do you get when you splice a JK, with a Jeepster, extend it's nose and throw in a couple of 3.8L V6 motors under the hood just for good measure? A frankenjeep that Daystar calls, the Offroadster. After seeing all the cool builds that have come out of Daystar, all I can say is that they must of just been having fun with this project because nothing about it makes any sense to me.

How the fuck do you time something like that? And can't tell if this is a turbocharger or supercharger. Looks like a SC housing, but there's exhaust pipes nearby. I'm officially confused.

Odd for sure, but I kinda liked it. I bet it’s a fun ride

Some of these I look at and think, “...just because you can...”. Great examples of skill, design, and technical prowess. And maybe that’s the only point for some of these.

Also makes me wonder what happens to so many of these show builds. How many see mileage that isn’t simply from trailer to display and back again?

It's an awful lot of work and a high skill set to pull this off...but I think I'd rather have that Hellcat crate engine dropped in and shorten the hood engine bay...and maybe some wheelie bars & nitro...
