1985 Jeep CJ7 for sale

Selling my 1985 Jeep CJ7

I hate to let it go, but with a recent move, I haven't been able to finish the cage I started building. If you're a good fabricator, or don't mind taking it to a shop to get finished up, this is a solid jeep. I would rather it go to a new home than sit in my driveway. The jeep starts up, and runs very well. Here is a run down of the things I've done to it.

Rebuilt top end

installed aluminum valve cover.

New alternator

Re-packed and lubed the front wheel bearings

New rear brake lines and brake pads with about 1000 miles on them

Bfgoodrich all terrain tires have about 1000 miles on them

Twin stick transfer case shifter installed

Cage made from .120 wall and .90 D.O.M.

Have two cloth seats from a 2011 JK that I will include

One draw back is that it will not pass smog. It is currently registered and I have the pink in hand. It's best to bring a trailer because the seat brackets haven't been made yet.

Asking $4000.00

Pretty clean looking 7, any idea on why it did not pass smog? Missing smog equipment, visual or NOX, etc levels? I have a friend in Napa looking for a CJ7. Can you also confirm what is the rear end 44 or 20?) thanks!

Thanks mudmob. It passed the first time when I got. It's smogged right now. But I did the nutter bypass on it. That's why it won't pass smog the next time it has to be done. And it has an AMC20
