    Moab Jeep Safari April 2017

Going to Moab for the jeep safari, 8-16 April 2017. First trip to Moab, trailering my jeep from Calif. Any suggestions/cautions/advice for the trip or the safari. Registration for the trails does not open until the 31st of this month.
Anyone else planning on driving out from Calif?

This year will be my first time going so I don't have any advice or tips but I'll be driving my Jeep from CA as well.

Cook as many meals as you can for the simple fact that most places to eat will easily have a 1-2 hour wait. Even the shitty ones. Don't be in a hurry. That place moves at its own pace and on its own schedule so take your time, plan ahead and enjoy it.

Thanks for the heads up on the restaurants. Staying at a hotel, but I'll throw the camp stove in the truck just in case.

Go out and eat with your trail mates in a restaurant...don't worry about the crowds, it's all part of the experience...

The other option is to rent a house with a couple other people...but after a full day on the trail, if you don't have to tweak something on your rig, all you want to do is take a hot shower and let someone else cook & clean...

I looked at a few of the house/condo rentals but it's a solo trip and first time so I opted for a hotel room. Thanks, you are right - it is about the experience. Hopefully there won't be very much wrenching on the jeep. I will make some restaurant reservations.
