Pondering this same question. Under the seat is appealing for longevity, but I like the idea of under the hood for the quietness in the cab. I have two small boys and don't want them to be exposed to noise inside that could potentially harm their ears while I'm outside airing up. Hmmm.

I have the HF one. I had to replace it after about a year of use. It didn't see any regular use but I did install a couple lifts with it. For the $40 I spent I got my use. If I had to do it again, I'd go cordless without a second thought.

I spoke with the dealer and they said they have them but it's an add on. I mentioned those here that received one and they told me that the dealer those jeeps were purchased from must have absorbed the cost somewhere. No luck here but perhaps your dealer will have one for you! Good luck!

Most with real world experience seem to say 5.13. Here is a chart that may help. By this it looks like 4.88 would be closer to factory.

I took delivery only three months ago and 2300 miles and now this. Can't imagine its a rock chip with how the paint is peeling, it's right on the edge of the hood. I have a feeling that that is what the dealer will say when I ask about the warranty for paint. Anyone else with an anvil have paint...

Gonna send this to the dealer to see what happens. The kicker is that it says "available". I could see the dealer saying this is available as an "option" and not standard issue. It can't hurt to try.

I took delivery of my 2014 in December. I too had a $500 coupon. I still have it so I'll be checking when I get home. I did not get the recovery kit.
