My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

Took the Jeep off-road for the Fourth and finally installed a winch. I went with a Warn VR8 because of the affordability and the name. I also installed some 1.25" spidertrax spacers.

    Metalcloak vs stock fenders

I've been really happy with my Metalcloak fenders. There's enough space to run bigger tires while you figure out what lift to run. I only have a "1 body lift to tuck my gas tank up but everyone thinks I have a suspension lift. You could also highline the factory fenders to save some money if...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

Finally patched the middle tub body mounts. Came out really good, I'm trying to get rid of as much rust as I can before it gets any worse. I wish I had before shots, but the original mounts were completely gone. Also upgraded my stock speakers to some Kicker speakers. Sounds much better than...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

I've made a few new changes to the Jeep since I last updated the build. I added Rough Country pods to the a pillars using the generic 90 degree mounts for a light bar. Later on I installed Savvy's transfer case cable shifter, which is a huge upgrade from the stock linkage. Testing the new...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

I got my one ton steering kit installed last weekend. The hardest part was reaming the knuckles out for the tie rod ends. I made sure to measure the toe before tearing the stock steering out so that I could set the toe back after I finished the install. The JCR kit is super beefy and I'm really...

One more pic with the bumper on. I had to make a couple cuts so that the bumper would fit correctly with the Savvy gas tank skid. I'm really happy with how everything looks. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE mobile app

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

Finished up the basket and added some Rough Country pods. I also replaced my rotted gas tank skid with a Savvy Off-road aluminum skid. I don't have a picture of my original skid, but there wasn't much of anything left. I'm really happy with the Savvy skid. I had to pull my rear bumper...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

I spent New Year's Day exploring Rutland Mass. There's a lot of snow covered trails that were a blast to drive on. Almost a month ago I purchased a Hobart Handler 140 welder. I've been practicing a lot on scrap metal. Since I do a lot of snowboarding, I've wanted to mount a couple snowboards...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

Needed a new battery so I slightly modified the hold down clamp for the battery so I could fit a group 65 880 cca battery. Simple mod and the higher capacity battery was about $10 more than a direct fit battery. Also modified a Hurst shift knob from a Challenger so that it would fit my...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

I finally found the right bumper for my Jeep. JCR recently released their new Dagger stubby bumper for the TJs. The Trucklites are so bright so I've wanted some fog lights for a while now! I bought the bumper and painted it with rustoleum bed liner. I'm really happy with the bumper and how it...

FINALLY!! LED Headlights for the Wrangler!

I did a new car inspection on one of the '17 JK Saharas today and here's some photos of the new led headlights. I can't tell you how they perform compared to the Trucklites but they are bright! Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE mobile app

JKS JK Rear License Plate Delete Bracket

I received this bracket when I relocated the license plate on my TJ. I have no use for it so if anyone wants it I'll be happy to get rid of it. I misplaced the mounting hardware but all you would need is a couple bolts to mount it.

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

I drove the Jeep back to Maine this past week. The light bar came in handy driving through the trails during the evening looking for moose. I'm very happy with how the Currie Antirock performed while on the highway and then while driving offroad. The Jeep performed flawlessly and I was very...

My Ueber Slow Jeep TJ Build

Thanks! One of my stock sway bar links broke so I've been driving without a front sway bar for a while. It got me thinking about sway bar disconnects or Currie's Antirock system. Pulled the trigger on the Antirock and got it installed. It gives me just as much flex as my Jeep had before and...
