    Found a Teraflex JK HD hinged tire carrier for a good price at the local shop so I snagged it. It’s just the hinge side and I reused the OEM carrier but it is solid as hell. Super easy install and I’m glad to have a little extra peace of mind with a 35” hanging back there.

    Glad to be part of the community and love forums for the information value. Finally realized a long time dream of owning two wranglers and now every pocket is truly empty. Currently have a ‘14 JKUR on 35’s and a ‘19 JL sport on 37’s.

    @Sharkey , my understanding is that “race radios” regardless of manufacturer and wherever they may fall on the radio spectrum are generally licensed by the FCC to a business licensee such as a race team running a trophy truck through Baja. They may also allow for slightly more power and range.

    The Jeep club local to me has mostly switched over to GMRS so I grabbed the 2 for $100 deal on some Rugged Radios handhelds. They seem to work pretty well and future plans are to put one of their full radio kits in both wranglers.
