    Yukon Axle Shafts 4340 Chromoly

Anyone used these? Any issues? Just talking the axle shafts not the gears. Store where I work just started carrying these and I'm just wondering about them. Going to see what they are with my employee discount. Sucks they only have them for the rear.

2020 JT Steering Gear Bolts Question

Per the charts I put up and that I have seen elsewhere, the aluminum steering gear bolts get 44 lb/ft + 170 degrees for front and 44 lb/ft + 135 degrees for rear. Elsewhere I have seen the JL specs are 99 lb/ft for the same bolts. Be anal and go by the JT specs? It's pretty simple to lay out a...

    Auto Parts Store Costs

So, I started as a delivery driver for a major auto parts store this week. One of the "perks" of being an employee is a discount on parts purchased from the store. I was in need of new wiper blades, I normally get the RainX whatever they are called blades. Retail is $39.99 each. With my...

    Odd Behavior

Finally got around to getting harness side, rear driver side, speed sensor connector spliced in. Took longer to get everything needed to do the fix, than it took to do the fix. Once done, got in and started the JT, didn't recognize the fob. Used the fob to push the start button and started up...

    Gladiator Factory Torque Values

These are OEM Factory Torque Values out of a manual for the Jeep Gladiator. They should be good for 2019-2023. There were some changes to the 2024 model and those numbers are NOT reflected here. I didn't create this, someone else copied from a purchased service manual and hosted this on the web...

Heads Up JT Part on Back Order

Rear ABS Speed Sensor for the Gladiator is on a National back order. I found one semi-local but it's almost double what I could get it online with shipping. So if you have a need, be prepared to wait or call every dealer hoping to get lucky. And yes I looked, JL doesn't crossover.

    Whale Poop, CEL's

Got the new batteries in, no sparks flying, no broken plastic pieces. Still have the CEL's, ABS, 4WD, Stability Control, Cruise Control Not Available, ESS Not Available. Did the Tazer Clear CEL's twice, with a reboot and 2 sleeps after each. So, which direction do I head from here? I've got...

    Headlight Restoration Kits

My Mom has a 2012 Equinox and the headlights are so cloudy you can't see through them in the day time. I know nothing about these kits, never used one. What is the best kit to use? I figure some of them are just snake oil and might last a month.

JT Rubicon Coil Springs and Fox Shocks

Around 25,000 miles on them. Free to a good home. I'm in Indianapolis and will do face to face within a reasonable distance (for me) to hand these over. Not willing to ship.

    So, I'm Retiring

Got the paperwork, filling it out. As of 01 Sep 2024 I will be retired. It will take 4 months to process and I will get retroactive pay back to the 1st. Tired of fighting all the ticky tack old man stuff on a construction site. My body said it's time. So the pin is pulled and can't be put back.

    Tire Price Rant

So, I got new 37's this week. AT's, C wall ON SALE. Knew it was going to be a little spendy and took it in stride. NOW, the Wife left to go to store a while ago and came right back. Flat tire on her ScoobyDoo. Got the tools and went out and put donut on. Wrote down tire size because she had a...

    Choosing next set of tires.

I've narrowed down my choice of 37's for after the lift is done to 2 tires. No I'm not going to name the brands, don't want that as part of the choice. Yes, one is an E and the other a C. So there's the difference in weight. These are AT's, going with the driving conditions I face for...

    Headlight Aiming After Lift

So, 2020 JT Rubicon. Sitting stock except for 35's, which I never adjusted the headlights for. When I install the 3" lift, should I take top of light cutoff to where it is now, or a little lower to compensate fro the different angle? Back when I was a "kid", I truly didn't give a damn. Now...

    Rancho Shock Questions

No instructions in the boxes, so going to ask here. I assume these are body down and rod up. Unlocking the shock, turn rod counterclockwise and pull or let the rod extend on it's own? Also, is it best to "prime" these before installation?

    Riddle Me This

Getting parts ordered to go with a 3" lift on a `20 JT Rubicon. Are drive shafts a concern at 3"? No, I don't have anything extreme in mind going off road. If they are a concern, can I get by with OEM while waiting for new ones to be built after taking measurements?

Explain to me WHY this is worth this much....

I like the looks of it. It's clean and tight to the body. It has corner protection built in. It has skid plates for the bottom of the bumper to prevent hanging up on things. But $2700 for 3/16" steel bumper that is smaller than less expensive bumpers...
