Actually, you got half the amount of sun as normal. Both of my brothers (in Ramona, CA area) have solar systems and the effect of the eclipse was obvious.

My home in Dallas is exactly in the middle of the path. We left Texas (for Arizona) on Saturday (the 7th). I don't feel like I missed anything important. 😄
