finally got around to trying the fender cut mod. Still have some work to do, my saws all wasn't the best for this particular job but hey it's just plastic that can be cut some more right!

agreed on the shaft. I just had this happen to me. drove with my boot torn for a couple of months, so you should be ok for a while.

if you are referring to me, then it's a 3.5" rubicon express. Honestly I drove my jk for close to a year without the boot failing. It wasn't until I took the jeep offroad and flexed the front end that I had the boot fail.
