Believe it or not, I did not come to Patagonia to just post in the "Spotted: Any other 4x4..." thread. Sunrise from Lago Pehoe the other day. Windy as hell that morning. Took dozens of shots to get one sharp, even with a solid tripod.

SPOTTED: Any 4X4 other than a Jeep JK/JL Wrangler

Yeah, pulling that trailer must be a challenge, although it does have a 3.2 L diesel.

Question about vacuum pump on JKU

Same thing happened to mine. It was like that for at least a year. I replaced it a month or so ago and everything is fine.

37 Cooper STT Pros on ATX Slabs balance issues

I have a love hate relationship with my STT Pro’s. They hook up great but they are a pain to balance, and they wear in a way that is noisy and perpetually need rebalancing

Music - What are you listening to?

I always loved the original; guess that shows my age. But I think this cover by Santana / Steve Winwood does it justice.

What was done to your rig this week?

That looks really good. I’m torn between Ridge 38 / 12.5 vs Trail 38 / 13.5. Gotta decide before June.

What was done to your rig this week?

Finally got the old frame-side lower CA bolts off. Had to cut them in two places from the inside through jj pivot balls. They were essentially rust welded to the pivot ball. Somebody hasn't been keeping up with maintenance. After all that decided to replace the front lower long arms; I do like...

What was done to your rig this week?

Original, cut up by me 11 years ago to fit long arms before EVO made one for them specifically. And the new one that uses the lower CA frame mounts. That’s why EVO is EVO. 👍 And why I have a day job.

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

It's best to just measure the starting arm length and turn until you get the added length you want using that 1/2" figure. If you can find the threads used on your adjustable ends, just divide the thread pitch by 2 and that would give you an approximate answer to how many turns equals 1/2". See...

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

I'm pretty sure the stock recon wheels were 5.5" backspacing for a track of 61.9." If your wheels are now 4.5", then that adds 2" to the track and you are at 63.9, almost exactly what I guessed. I'm only using the track spec because that's the only way I can use the 1/4" dimension you gave me to...

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Sorry probably should not divide the axle by 2. I’m not sure how Thrust Angle is defined. Edit: If I understand the definition correctly, I get 0.23 degrees using track 64" and your 1/4". Their 0.42 deg would be 0.47" I'm guessing that 1/4" is difficult to measure accurately.

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Pretty close. I'm not sure what the track is of your setup. Depends on your backspacing, axle length, spacers, etc. I think stock is 61.9". If I use 64", then: Dave

Alignment specs for 5" long arm kit?

Note it is 0.18 degrees, not 18 degrees. I won't bore you with the math. It depends on your tire size. Well, really the point where you are measuring toe. If you are doing that on the tread-face of your tire, then tire size is a pretty good approximation. 0.18 degrees is: 35" tire: 0.110" 37"...
