Need some help with my crappy exhaust

I know the info is on here somewhere but I can't find it. Could use some help before my exhaust drives me nuts. I have a Magnaflow Performance system exhaust on my 2011 JKU and I love not having the muffler in the back but the drone is not good. It's starting to seriously suck. It really...

What problems does your Jeep have this week?

I cleared the code by straightening the wheel just like you said and found the problem. One of the drag link adjustment sleeve bolts has damaged threads so the bolt will appear to be tight but the sleeve will still rotate allowing the drag link to adjustment to wander all over the place...

    Some (probably) Noob Beadlock Questions

Some XD 232 info I just swapped my old wheels for the XD 232's you were asking about. I was impressed with the apparent quality and workmanship. The XD 231 like Eddie is running is polished with a 4.5 inch backspace. The XD 232 is power coated black and has a 3.5 inch backspace. Here is a...

    Mounting Beadlocks?? Need some help

I’m struggling getting the tire over the rim to get started. I’m trying to install new Cooper 37x 13.5 x 17 STT Pros onto new KMC 232 17 x 9 wheels. Can’t even get to first base. I’ve tried Eddie’s method of jumping/standing on the wheel to get it to go down inside the tire. Doesn’t look like...

Need some advise on new wheel install, wheel locks? Valve stems?

I have finally bitten the bullet and ordered new KMC beadlocks for my 2011 JKU. Planning to put new 37 in. Cooper SST Pros on a set of KMC 232's. What is the hot setup for lugnuts? I know there are a couple different ways to make it harder for thieves to roll them away. Do you guys use...

    Fuel tank vapor port cracked/broken!

Same problem- slightly different fix I found the gas tank vapor fitting broken on top of the gas tank as you guys have described. The tell tale sign was the gas tank cap light coming on and staying on. The brake cable does pull down on the line as described by thombull above and the plastic...

Bad Day on White Ridge Trail, Need Some Advise

Back in Business! The shop delivered Ruby to me this week. All new axle housing, bearings, gears, ARB locker, etc. Basically a new axle. They were able to reuse the 35 spline axle shafts. Just need to get her broken in. Thanks for all the advise and support! It feels good to be rolling again.

Bad Day on White Ridge Trail, Need Some Advise

Update and a Delay The repair saga for the rear diff destroyed by the loose bolts got a little more interesting. The shop had received the new ARB locker, gears, bearings, etc. and when they went to install they noticed a small crack in the housing. It goes all the way through from the inside...

Eddie why are you a dick to anyone that's posts something

I have no idea what this thread is about after reading it but I love the occasional zinger when Amazon tries to link ads it thinks are related. This popped up as I was reading this thread. Gotta love it, Eddie Scores!

Bad Day on White Ridge Trail, Need Some Advise

HI, completely agree on the tools, I'll be adding a few I didn't have. A lightweight floor jack and Milwaukee Impact are high on my list. The hole was high enough that I thought we could get it out if we took it easy. There was no gear to throw the oil around anyway and it wasn't under load...

Bad Day on White Ridge Trail, Need Some Advise

Last Saturday eight Jeeps from our local club were 20 miles from pavement on the rarely traveled but very easy White Ridge trail off of Reddington Road, east of Tucson. The trail leader called on the CB and reported a problem so we all stopped and waited to hear what his issue was. He came...

Let’s see your 37’s on your JKU

I really like the red with the Anvil color, looks great. It looks like you could gain some clearance with some trimming of the sheetmetal on the rears. I had to trim my 2011 so my 35's wouldn't rub. Much better now with the new LoD sliders. Let us know how it goes with moving the axle aft.

    Off road lights in California

The last time I looked the police officers don't make the laws that "screw with people" Your wonderful state representatives do that. The men and women in blue have a tough enough job with our support. Without it they don't stand a chance. The lack of respect for the men and women standing...

    Off road lights in California

Thanks! I just subjected myself to reading the lighting section of the California vehicle code on line and I couldn't find that section. A "find law" search didn't turn it up either. Can somebody save me some time and point me to the law? I did see where I supposed to have the orange front...

She was trying to tell me - Trail repair for broken track bar bracket

Last weekend I had the fun and educational experience of getting my JK off the Santa Catalina Mountains in Arizona and over the sixteen remaining miles of the Charouleau Gap trail with no track bar. The bracket snapped off of the axle almost halfway through the trail and left a pretty good mess...

    show your sunrise/sunset pictures

Here is a shot from last year. I use the red rock lights when doing night photography to save my night vision. That's Tucson in the background.

What was done to your rig this week?

First set of skids/protection for Ruby this week After watching Eddie and Cindy’s videos of Fordyce creek and the Rubicon runs again, I was impressed enough to start getting more serious about protecting my JK and finally finished the first phase this week. I installed the Evap Cannister...

    EVO Tech Support Rocks!

I was installing my new EVO Protek Oil Pan skid this week when I ran into an issue that had me wondering if I had the right unit. The aft bolts on the pan were difficult to get a socket on and a wrench wouldn’t fit. I took a break to think about the options and decided to give the tech...

    Front Inner Fender Liners

I bought my inners from Crawler Conceptz a couple of years ago before there were so many other options. They were one of the first I saw that looked good to my eye and were willing to sell me a set that didn't provide free advertising for the company. I'm not crazy about a bunch of logos. I...

Need some help with Skid Plates Recommendation/Sequence

I’ve been slowly building up the off road capability of my 2011 JKU and I’ve reached the stage where I’m more comfortable taking her on tougher trails, we’re planning to do the Rubicon in August. So far, we’ve done all our trails in the southwest; Arizona, Colorado, and southern Utah, we love...
