    TJ ton swap

Took the flywheel in to get resurfaced and the head to get check out. I got them back, the head checked out fine. I have to go out to sea for a couple months and when I get back I should be able to take the block into the machine shop to get baked and magnafluxed, new cam bearing and some honing.

I torn the engine down to the block. One of the bolts holding the oil pan skid plate seized and one of the engine mount bolts was cross threaded. I put in a helicoil in the cross threaded hole. The seized bolt, I cut out the shank of the bolt with an end mill and pulled the thread out.

    DIY Trail Vise

I'm too cheap to buy a trail d-vise so I tried to make my own. Here's what I came up with. First I drilled 2 holes in some 2" square bar stock. The radius's were milled with a rotary table. Then I milled them to the thickness I wanted and milled slots for the jaws to mount into.

    Rubicon sway bar disassembly.

BABOOZLE have me this sway bar to see what I could do. It took a while to figure out how to take it apart without destroying the whole thing. Finally took the short half to work and put it in the arbor press. Got that half apart, the other side should be the same. From what I can tell a new...

    CJ buggy build

BABOOZLE was a huge help today, getting the lower hoop, figuring out how to mount the brake booster and talking threw the rest of the build. I got some supports made to tie the upper and lower hoops together. My welding helmet doesn't want to auto darken any more. Kinda killed my motivation...
