Dorman exhaust manifold cracked in 3 months.

Has anyone actually tried these (afE Blade Runner exhaust manifolds) -- I am considering these as replacements to my cracked OEMs. I like the idea of staying with iron as too many comments floating around about others cracking or so hot the melt plug wire etc. Thoughts/experience?

Catalytic Converter Recommendations for 2008 JKU - Code 420

Yup, planning on swapping the O2 sensors as new. We'll see how it goes.

Catalytic Converter Recommendations for 2008 JKU - Code 420

Ordered so we'll see what happens, Hopefully can get at it next week. I've also had a slight exhaust leak for years so going to inspect exhaust manifolds to try to pin down location and work that one first then Cat Replacement. 🤞

Catalytic Converter Recommendations for 2008 JKU - Code 420

That's interesting...fit right in without modifications? Might be an interesting solution to get the emissions done.

Catalytic Converter Recommendations for 2008 JKU - Code 420

Yep as Overlander said I’m in AZ (escaped CA a couple years ago). Will look into the Magna Flow as I have their exhaust and really like it. Still interested in low cost options if any recommendations as a possible short term solution.

Catalytic Converter Recommendations for 2008 JKU - Code 420

2008 JKU with 125,000 miles is throwing PO420 code (Right / Passenger side, yes?) and I need to get it pass emissions testing (in Arizona). Tried replacing both O2 sensors on that side and all seemed good after I cleared the code until about 90 miles later (when CMU started "reporting" again)...

    OBD-2 Mount Retainer and/or Splitter

Closeout follow up mostly for anyone else that references this thread later: 1) "Retainer" clips are integrated on the side of the OBD-II port that simply click into the OND mount bracket, press them in to remove. On mine one of the press in side clips had broken off so no longer clicked into...

    OBD-2 Mount Retainer and/or Splitter

I saw the splitters on Amazon figure I'd try one, just curious if anyone had any experience with them and could confirm that they work seamlessly or if any problems or things to be aware of.

    OBD-2 Mount Retainer and/or Splitter

Yep, I must say that their emissions process is much better and cheaper than Cali, just this particular detail is a pain...I guess I get it they don't want one of their techs being blamed for damaging someone's OBD port, but jeez. I'll look more closely at it tomorrow to try to figure out a way...

    OBD-2 Mount Retainer and/or Splitter

I still have the OEM metal bracket, it originally had a plastic retailer that clipped around the the OBB port to clip it into place. That plastic retainer is what I can't seem to locate... might have to try to find a salvage yard and scour a few CDJR vehicles for one. Just not what I have time...

    OBD-2 Mount Retainer and/or Splitter

I did some searching and didn't see any specific threads on this/these topics (or maybe I was unsuccessful in locating) so here goes. Situation: The OBD-II in my 2008 JKU has been kicked enough times (I know I'm not the only one to accidentally kick that sucker) that the plastic retainer...

JKU Front Hub/Bearing Options - 2013 Rubicon Axle

JKU Front Hub/Bearing Options - 2013 Rubicon Axle

Looks like the Front Pass side Hub/Bearing is getting a loose as has a slight wobble if a push/pull side to side on it so guessing time to replace. Questions: 1) Based on a couple of parts searches it looks like the Hub/Bearings for 2008-2018 might be the same regardless of axle, is this right...

ABS and ESP Dash Lights -- what sensors???

Yep, Great Call Cousin Clyde!! That would have been the right play!! Somehow I over looked that / it didn't register as I wasn't thinking hubs were bad but in hind sight would have been the right preventative thing to do as now going to go down that path :cautious:

ABS and ESP Dash Lights -- what sensors???

Jumped in and decided to just go through the WSS one at a time to find the bad one. Bingo! Tip broken off front passenger side. (y) However while replacing it appears that the hub/bearing might be a bit loose so now need to replace that too....and of course they come with new WSS included...

How to tell if wheel speed sensor is bad

I need to get a better code reader....thought my SuperChips TrailDash would give me the codes for ABS/wheel sensors but apparently it does not :cautious:

ABS and ESP Dash Lights -- what sensors???

Thanks all. Ordered a set and will likely just replace all four. Although would be good to figure which bad and hang on to the others as spares.

How to tell if wheel speed sensor is bad

Still relevant., same issues in my 2008 JKU. I figured Wheel Speed Sensor(s) this helps confirm (my TrailDash not showing info for these lights / sensor failures). Ordered a set of sensors and will work through them.

ABS and ESP Dash Lights -- what sensors???

I was thinking Wheel Speed Sensors...I did do a front axle seal replacement and lights started about 1000 miles later. Is there anyway to test them to know which or figure time to replace all. 124,800 miles on the JKU?
