ARB Locker Stainless Steel Air Line Installation Write-Up

I am getting ready to install a new front axle and want to go with braided s/s lines. How much slack do you leave in the line for axle droop? I also have an under the passenger seat mounted air compressor and plan on running the line through the drain plug. Hoping that works.

    Crate Axle

Just an update but received the axle I ordered. The mixup must have somehow sped up the build time? Now waiting to get a few more items I ordered like Reid racing knuckles, wheel unit bearings and few other new front end parts. On a side note they still haven’t picked up the UD60 axle!

    Crate Axle

Decided to purchase a Dana Spicer 44 with a 4:58 gear ratio crate front axle for my Jeep Wrangler a little over a week ago. They told me it would be about a 14 to 20 week expected delivery time. Today I received a call from the freight company that they were at my house trying to deliver a...

    Thrust angle question

I went over my alignment over the weekend and it was 1/16” toe in. I decided to adjust my driver’s side control arm back 1 turn. Before I did I remeasured the top of the ball joints and the driver side was actually at 7.5 to 8 degrees and the passenger side was at 5.5 degrees. after moving the...

    Thrust angle question

I have been having a wandering problem with my JK since last November. It started right after installing a set of new Synergy HD ball joints. it settled down a little but is still wandering. Yukon gear pinion nut

I contacted Yukon and they said it was a 7/8 x 14. Also gave me the part number of the correct pinion nut. They told me it is the same nut used in a stock set of Jeep Wrangler JK as well. I appreciate the help here! Hopefully I will get everything back together in a day or 2.

    Yukon gear pinion nut

I measured the shaft and in is 7/8”. The Yukon ring an pinion gear set is the YKG012 4:56. It seems odd that it lists the rear pinion nut (doesn’t have the thread specs) listed as 1 5/16” and mine was 1 1/4”. I ended up ordering a 7/8 x 14 1 1/4”. Another oddity with this kit was the front...

    Yukon gear pinion nut

Had my gears replaced (4:56) about a year ago by a 4x4 shop. I had purchased a set of Adams drive shafts and ran into a problem with the rear pinion nut. after I removed the stock driveshaft and started to remove the rear pinion nut I noticed it was badly deformed. It appeared to have been put...

    Ball Joint Replacement

You are right about wasting my money on an alignment! I have been doing my with a set of the stainless steel alignment tool I bought from Bleeping Jeep. A few years ago I did a high steer and tie rod install and used that tool and never had any steering problems or uneven tire wear. Just that I...

    Ball Joint Replacement

Ok, so I had a front end alignment and ended up with the same steering issue. I removed my steering stabilizer and it seemed to help just a little. Purchased an angle finder and my pinion angle is 0 and the top of the ball joint reads about 9 or 10 degrees caster. Still wondering how my caster...

    Lift upgrade

I am actually doing a lift upgrade myself. I have heard so many good reports on the EVO plush rides that I purchased a set of 3” moving up from a 2.5” lift. Just waiting for some time to install.

    Ball Joint Replacement

Yes, it did need an alignment but the ball joints were bad (lowers on both sides). I will get some mileage on them and see how it goes. Thank you for your quick response!

    Ball Joint Replacement

I own a 2015 JKU and recently replaced my ball joints with Synergy HD ball joints. My rig has a 2.5" lift and before I replaced the ball joints it handled good with a slight pull to the right due to the bad joints. After replacing the ball joints my steering got flighty and reminded me of when...

    Metal in rear diff. FML.

I just went through the same thing in May. It was my spider gear with the same gear ratio 3:73’s. I decided to upgrade to 4:56’s. I was told by a Jeep garage mechanic that this is a known issue but not sure if I believe that.
