    Evo coilover question

Like Eddie said they are a bit noisy and I have AGM sliders, I hear some pops during heavy articulation but I’m used to it and don’t mind it, mine are stiffer on road than a regular coil and sprig setup but it’s not in a bad way, just more firm. Off-road with tires aired down they are awesome...

    Evo coilover question

I use my Jeep a lot, EVO coilover kit has been fantastic. I have about 3" of up-travel front/rear and don't have any issues with that. I have King air bump stops in the front and regular rubber bump stops in the rear. From the desert to rock crawling it flat out works, it works really well...

    Hello from Socal

Hey man, good to hear from you, I looked for you last time I was there getting tires for my son's car, but it sounds like you aren't working there anymore.

    Evo coilover question

Now that you mention it, we did run into this issue when the lift was first installed, passenger upper control arm was rubbing the frame, so axle was shifted more driver to clear. I'm going leave it as is and not mess with it.

    Evo coilover question

Don't remember what my bump stops are at but they are setup to where I can stuff my tires without getting into the fenders. Wheel backspacing is 3.5. I am at about 3" of lift, I will need to adjust the coilovers to 3.5" or more when I upgrade my tires. Looking to go 38's next year.

    Evo coilover question

I have about 3.5" of uptravel. At full droop the front passenger side shock does make slight contact with the frame, I only noticed when we had the Jeep on the Metalcloak CTI ramp fully flexed out, but it hasn't caused any issues after almost a year of wheeling. I could probably shift the axle...

    Suspension noise

I will, i'm planning on replacing the stock DS with aftermarket so that should help, thanks! Thanks Eddie, I was just worried something was binding or hitting something it shouldn't, if it's just normal coilover noise I won't worry about it.

It kinda sounds similar to Jet Li in this video at starting at 10:30

    Suspension noise

Only when flexing, it doesn't take much flex, just going over a rut will cause it. It will make the noise in 2wd drive if I disconnect the swaybars. It could be the rear driveshaft i'm still running the stock one, don't see any signs of rubbing though, but I'll take a closer look at that...

    Suspension noise

I've been trying to figure out what is causing this popping noise when off-road, does not happen on-road. I have an Evo Long arm kit with coilovers, it was installed about 6 months ago and it's been quiet, then a month ago it's started making this noise. I've had the arms re-torqued and axle...

    Evo coilover question

So I think I figured it out the source of the squeaking and clunking. Noise is coming from the rear passenger upper shock tower. Evo shock tower sitting on top of the stock tower, they rub together and squeak like a hay wagon, hitting it with lube clears it up. The clunking is the tub sitting...

    Evo coilover question

Thanks Eddie! I always loved the setup you had on Jet Li and it definitely inspired me to make the switch.
