I would take the 392 over an LJ all day. I’ve had stretched TJ’s in the past, great off road but terrible on road. I have a 392 and it’s a beast on & off road. My 392 does everything the stretched TJ does but easier and more comfortably.

Thanks for the input. I’m thinking flat in the bed is probably the only option. I’ve seen folks carry them on bed racks but I’ve heard similar stories of destroying the rack.

Thanks for the pics. So far the only awnings I’m finding that will work with a roof rack are the 90° ones. Was hoping for more shade but it might be my only choice unless I got a bed rack which I don’t want to do.

Those 270° degree awnings use a bed rack to support them. I don’t have a bed rack, I’m going to add a roof rack and was hoping to find a 180° awning that would work. So far the only ones I’m finding that are the right length are 90°.

I found very few 180° awnings that mount to a roof rack. Most 180° degree awnings I’m finding are 8’ long and mount to a bed rack. I need something in the 5’ range as I don’t have a bed rack. Please share some companies you found on your quick search, it would be much appreciated.

Awning & mounting suggestions. I’ve seen the ROAM, it’s kind of a small footprint. I like the JCR roof rack but their mount doesn’t work with 180° awnings.
