Wow that's absolute garbage. I briefly considered them for their price point, but decided it wasn't worth the risk.
I went with Fusion. They have been OK, but I'm definitely not entirely happy. If I did it again it wold be UD or Dynatrac.
I personally haven't found an ideal wheelbase. It really depends on the trail and the obstacle. 101 is great for a lot of trails in CO, yet is terrible for SW UT. It's always cool to see how wheelbase works on different obstacles and areas.
I just picked up a FN Fnx 45 Tactical. It's been on the wishlist for awhile. It definitely doesn't disappoint! I usually run Holosun, but I've been impressed with the Vortex Viper so far.
Now I just need a suppressor to really make it tacti-cool.
I've had 2 XJ's and still own a built WJ on 33s. My JL is a monster on 42s. So when hen people I wheel with are like "anybody can take the hard lines in that." I show up to the next run and walk everything they can't make with 37s lmao. I'm not gonna lie it's almost exclusively why I keep the...
I've seen a JT with a custom fab double triangulated rear. It was sweet, but a lot of work went into it including relocating the gas tank. I like how the geometry helps steer the rear up on walls and obstacles. Personally I don't see many JT's get wheeled hard enough to benefit. Pretty sure...
The first time it happened, I also noticed the two bolts closest to the bumper were way too long. I added quite a few spacers. Maybe that made them weaker? I have the synergy bracket and hardware kit on the way so bolt length should not be an issue anymore.
The threads could be damaged. The...
Such sad news. He was an icon. Funny enough he is actually what got me into Jeeping in a round about way. I got into drifting as a teenager watching his videos. After lots of fun and on the brink of losing my license; I sold my drift missile and bought a my first TJ. Been hooked ever since!
The JL is on a relatively fresh build (finished in October.) Since then I have had constant issues trying to keep the steering box attached to the frame. Ever since the first trail, I noticed the bolts were backing out. I liberally applied loctite thinking that would rectify the issue. I have...
I sold mine with 25k on them for $600 and it took months to find a buyer. I guess it depends on the area. I think most people around here are going bigger and aftermarket, so there's a surplus of stock wheels sitting around 😂
You're in NM right? I've always wanted to check out the crawling around Farmington. Hoping to make a trip out there this fall or winter. My JL build should be down early september. It's about 5hrs from me, but it looks like it would be worth the trip. Any trails you would recommend?
It's in that general area. The scenery is insane, and it has switchbacks kind of like black bear pass. They were actually really sketchy when I was up there because there had been a bunch of rain that week and the soil was super soft. I stumbled upon it near the Dolores River on the Utah side...
