Definitely can't hurt — especially if the replacement part installed was not Mopar. At the time mine went out, Jeep didn't have the part in stock! I opted for a Delphi Automotive Crankshaft Position Sensor - SS11407 from O'Reilly.

I had the same issue on my 2015. Solved the issue by replacing the crank position sensor. Easy diy repair. 😎 Sorry! Just saw you already had that sensor replaced.

Opted to have the tailgate lock rekeyed to the oval key. Would've cost a small fortune to rekey 3 locks to the square key. Tailgate lock is now working! Woohoo! Replaced both door locks with new parts. Had to shorten the lock rod to match the original bits. Removing the clip that secures...
