I think boxing is a good place to start and agree with WAL on boxing the frame I broke my 1973 CJ5 frame back in the late 1980s and it was boxed in. If you want a strong frame get a mandrel bent from new steel or box in yours. I just boxed in my Willys CJ3a frame due to some stress cracks...
