At full droop there is 5" of the 8" of total spline length exposed. Sitting at ride height 3" of splines are exosed.

Thank you. I had the same concern. I lifted the rear end until I was at full droop and still had spline engagement. There is 8" of splines there. If there turns out to be not enough, I'll shorten my control arms an inch or two.

All the machining is done on the transfer case rear output yoke. Everything fits nice and tight. New drive shaft is in. The next nice day I'll take it outside and make sure the transmission works after it was rebuilt at home.

Yes, but the super short sye from jb conversions uses a really short yoke. I have to shorten it to be able to get thread engagement for the yoke nut. The new yoke is about 1/2" longer from the start of the splines than the old yoke. I'll still need to take it to work and turn it on the lathe...

Made progress on the new yoke

The new drive shaft arrived today. Really excited, except the bolt pattern from yoke from my transfer case doesn't line up. And the yoke that Adam's sent me is too long for the stubby slip yoke eliminater on my transfer case. Kinda frustrating. I'm machining the new yoke to fit. Probably...

Roll cage tube connecter/coupler. I got it from ruff stuff specialities.

Finished welding in the orbital valve support. I cut out the tire carrier and added some parts to make it removable. The only thing left to do on it is to burn it in. Ran out of c25 so I'll have to TIG it in.

Got the bolt hole pattern drilled for the transmission adapter plate. I used a 3/8 x16 tap with a point as a center punch to transfer the holes from the adapter plate. Since none of the holes on both sides of the flanges are uniform, transferring on this side was the easiest. On the other...

Hopefully all the turning is done on the new foot plate. All that should be left is drilling the bolt holes.
