    Pressure wash engine

Just cover the intake opening. Don’t worry about covering the battery. Use low pressure and go at it. Everything is exposed to the water and elements as is when you’re driving down the road. All connectors have weather packing on them as well. Just have at it. It’s not like and older engine or...

    Clayton Lift

Yes I have cut them to size before. Do it last once your jeep is on the ground. Once on the ground set the swaybar to about 5* above parallel and measure eye to eye from the axle to the sway bar. Set you end link ends next to the all thread rod at that length. Then cut to rod down on either...

Welcome to the TOW RIG THREAD

When I was at the dealer the gen 1 L5P trucks (15-19/20 before they changed body style) were able to be deleted. The def tank was under the passenger side door. When I left nothing was out yet for the new def system which got moved to being under the bed of the truck. The new trucks can tow so...

Welcome to the TOW RIG THREAD

Yea the LLY and LBZ are very similar in build but tuning is different. Both great engines. The new L5P which has been around since 2015ish is a stout motor. Gen 2 of the engine came out in 2019 +/- a year. Most of the issues I saw and dealt with were common things like glow plugs burning out...

This^^ the green O ring is reusable. Mainly seen On the cap itself. On the gm vehicle I never changed them unless the cap was leaking for some reason.

    Steeper descents dangerous behavior

Are you sure it’s just not the trans up shifting? Mine on some hills will drop to says 3rd or 4th gear while I brake. I will be off the brake letting it engine brake the rest of the decent and then it up shifts to say 6th,7th or even 8th depending on my speed.

What's your view like at work?

Currie rear axle for a sprinter van. So weird that there is a big enough ask by people for Currie to make this

    Tire DIAMETER > WEIGHT

I think a lot of this silliness is coming from the Overlander crowd. They wanna pack full of gear and then wonder why they can’t stop well since they added bigger skinny tires. They don’t regear for more power or upgrade to bigger brakes to stop safely.

I know yet another.. which lift is right for me?

I have done a couple of the AEV kits here at my shop on the gladiators. Its rides pretty well. I wouldn’t say it’s stiff personally. This black one was on the firmer side when we first built it but it had the HD springs in it for when it’s got a bed cap and a for when it was trailering it’s...

    Endurance Warranty

Endurance was a warranty that my GM dealer wouldn’t accept when I worked there. Their customer support wasn’t good and they didn’t cover much. Zurich we did accept tho and they covered just about everything for the customer with little to no hassle and payed the tech well.

New Toyo Open Country R/T Pro tire

It’s funny how offended people get when they ask a question, then get a response with a question back that they don’t like. Then the OP goes bezerk and blames the people answering his questions 🤣

    The build of Ruthless

finally gonna order the enforcer this week. Any shock recommendations to pair with it? Been a while since I have driven on an evo lift. Kings are out of budget. Also ordered a midland GMRS setup. Hoping to get that in soon and installed
