Trail Rated - Just Not for the Rubicon

I'm in the market (somewhat) for an SUV/x-over for my wife and so far jeep (besides the GC) is sucking at life. The Liberty, which she owned, sucked and felt like it was built by blind retards. The new Cherokee is fugly and this new little Fiat bastard child is hideous. Jeep just wants to sway...

My 99XJ having fun on the Rocks.

So we had our local NAXJA run over in Texas and it was the first adventure with the XJ and all I can say is WOW! This little XJ did outstanding, it did pretty much everything I asked and more, could use a little more tire and gears, but for being on 33's and only locked in the front she did...

HELP!!! Anyone Here a PARK RANGER?

So I'm about to retire from the USAF after 21+ years and I want to be a Park Ranger. Now you may laugh at the thought of this being someones dream job, but hear me out. Reclining Seats in a JK

So when I had my JKU my kids HATED the rear seats because they didn't recline. Now with the 2dr it's the same problem. Anyone know of a way to swap/make reclinable rear seats. It could be their spoiled as well by riding in their moms car. I was thinking about rear buckets, but think they...

Nighshade Spray on your Soft Top Windows

So I had this great idea, that nightshade spary tint stuff you use for your taillights, why not try that on your soft top windows. Well here's why not. First I prep'd the windows and cleaned them and taped them off. Then layed them flat on my work bench and began the process of going over...

    Front or rear lockers?

depends on the locker, lunch box style can normally be done in the home garage. Depending on what you have now will dictate what needs to be done, that being said I will NEVER attempt gears/diff work on my JK and I NEVER pay for installs. :)

    Doorless time and rainy day

I picked up a cheap 4x6 tarp at Harbor Freight and keep bungie cords in the jeep, it makes a nice emergency top for under $10 bucks and takes up little space.

    Durango/Silverton CO Area

So we just returned from our trip to the Grand Canyon, New Mexico and Durango vacation. While we didn't take the Jeep we did scout areas for a fall trip back up there. My question is, we found multiple roads with no "Keep Out" signs and many looked to be okay to ride on. Is anyone familiar with...

Is a Jack a Jack or do I buy Hi Lift??

I have the Reese "Farm Jack" as well. I keep mine lubed with White Lithium greese and it works just as well as the hi-lift jack I sold with my old JKU. The key is to keep them free from rust and lubed . I bought the Reese as a temp jack until I could order a HI-Lift, I used it once decided to...

    Brake Squeaking Problem

So I get a bad squeaking when I apply the brakes lightly and it stops once I apply a little more force. Sounds as if it's coming from the passenger side, can't tell if it's front or rear. It's been doing this for about the past 500 miles. I have checked the lines and there are no kinks. Brake...
