    WxNerd2015's Never Ending Build

Back on September 15, I went out with the Wolverine Wheelers Jeep Club and we had a small convoy up to Rocks and Valleys ORV Park in Harrison, MI for the "Wheelin' for Ronald" event benefiting the Ronald McDonald charity. It was a great turnout and fundraiser for them, and we had an awesome time...

    WxNerd2015's Never Ending Build

So once again, let's fast forward further as it was once again busy for a while, and at the end of August, I started noticing a few small drips of oil on the floor of my garage. And of coarse, i am always glancing/looking/keeping an eye out for something that may not be right...just the car guy...

And then the busy times came with plenty of travel and work and things around the house, that no work was done on the Jeep for a while, but...remember those KC Cyclone lights I got a while ago? I finally got those installed under the hood and hooked up to the sPod about a month ago! And man are...

Next up was May 19th, a.k.a. Go Topless Day! Had a fun day out with the Wolverine Wheelers for a great trail ride through all the back roads to where we had our BBQ. We had a heck of a lot of Jeeps, at least 40+ I believe, and even though it was cloudy and on the chillier side, any day in Jeep...

Ok, so once again...been missing for a long while here, but have been very busy with travel (Munich, Germany, Toledo, and a few other places for work, and Up North, and Bar Harbor, Maine, and a few other places for fun!), housework, and just everything. Haven't done too much to the Jeep in a...

    Re gearing

I am have a 2011 JK (2 Dr) running pretty light on 33s. Still the same 3.8L engine, and i went 4.56s. It made a huge difference, but cruising at highway speeds (70-75ish) I do loose speed somewhat easily and have to downshift. For most cases, and even cruising most of the time, the 4.56s have...

Early Spring (Rebooted Winter?) Update Well, due to the cold weather there unfortunately has not been much going on in the way of Jeep work. I am especially not motivated when we keep waking up to this! Snow still! Ridiculous! Well, I have been just relaxing and enjoying the Jeep instead...

I did get a couple things for the Jeep for Christmas this year, but having some of it back ordered, it was pretty late to arrive. One of the things I got is the Powerbuilt Tire Step! It's rated up to 300 lbs, and fits over the Tire quite nicely! I have adjusted it since the pictures where taken...

Anyways! Back to Jeep stuff, but just wanted to share some neat memories and experiences with ya! So the Jeep turned 60k, and by the time I am posting this, it is more like 61.5k, but still climbing at a good rate, about 15k a year! However, not completely without incident, as when we...

Then next in line was the honeymoon! And we decided that we wanted to hit New Zealand! And we are so happy with our choice! The longest flight for us was San Francisco to Auckland, which was 12 1/2 hours, but the trip was soooo worth! We spent 10 days there split between 3 cities, Queenstown...
