OPINION Q: Winch shootout - Article

A budget winch is a budget winch. That being said, I purchased the Engo myself. Hasn't let me down yet. BUT it only gets used maybe once every few months. Not to take anything away from it but if I was able to wheel every weekend, I'd replace it with a higher end warn. Hard to talk bad...

    The Winch Thread

Engo e9000 with synthetic line. Pros: inexpensive. Easy to use. Simple hand controller. Cons: battery wires are a little on the short side. Some of the screws on the housing were loose. Type of line, I use is synthetic. Holding up very well so far. Have I used it? Yes, about ten times...

Trail essentials- What tools to Carry Offroad

Zip ties. Most of the guys I wheel with are mechanics and trailer their rigs with enough tools to rebuild a jeep in the parking area if need be. But they always forget zip ties. Which makes me somewhat useful. Being that my slowly growing set of tools is laughable compared to theirs.

March 14th @ Rausch Creek. Springtime shake down run.

Going to be at Rausch on the 14th with a group from my local club. Couple wayalife members in said group so I figured it would be great if anyone from the forums wants to shake the snow off their rigs and come run some trails. We will be in the lot at 8am Saturday, March 14th. We are trying...

PACIFIC NORTHWEST: The 2014 JK-Experience [4 Part Series]

I've been trying to just get the wife to go with me, let alone drive. Lately when I've been watching these videos I catch her glancing over at my tablet or phone. She watched part 2 with me tonight and I pointed out that Cindy was driving that line through the moon rocks, she was pretty...

Seriously... Goes so good together. Shot of honey (or two of you like it strong) mixed with egg nog is so win. On my third glass.

Then & Now Pics - Let's See em!

Great looking Rig's guys! I bought my JK with a dealer installed lift, so seeing pics like these really sends home the message of how far these machines come once we start opening up our wallets and getting our hands dirty! Here's mine the day I brought it home: Already lifted with the Mopar...

Tips for choosing a line for a newb

Have a spotter that you trust. Learn the terminology and hand signals that he or she may use to guide you over a tight spot. Instead of using "right and left" use "passenger or driver" keeps ya from getting mixed up. Seems like common sense but still, never know. Your spotter is...

Black Friday! Help me pick my Christmas present!

Title says it all. 400ish dollar budget. Wife wants me to pick something for the jeep for Christmas. For once I'm undecided. Considering the following. Rock Krawler pro tie rod. (factory one is very slightly bent) Adams 1310 front drive shaft. (I have a 2 door on 3" lift) Strike force...

Evo corner skins and tire carrier, in stages?

Question for those who have installed the evo corners and carrier: do the carrier mounts need to be installed with the skins off of the jeep? I might do the skins first, and then save a bit to do the carrier at a later time. Also, what are you guys using for tail lights and reverse light...

Call of Duty advanced warfare, custom emblems.

Going to eventually take my time and do a proper wayalife logo, but for now I'm rocking this emblem ;-) I need to lower the headlights a little on the grille part and find a way to make the "w" logo from the site next.

Converting a TJ to an LJ

This is down the road since I'm focused on my JK at the moment. But I've got a 97 TJ, (4.0,ax15 Trans. Np231 t case) the frame is rotted to the point where I don't feel comfortable driving it on or off road. It has the dpg off road ultimate lift. (2.5" old man emu coils and shocks, 1.75"...
