    Custom Cage Mount Mirrors

I've had the project in my head for a while and finally put it down on metal. I got the idea originally when I saw that Rock Hard sells their sport cage collars separate for fabricators. Theirs are a bit more than I needed (I assume they are steel) and more than I wanted to spend at $36 a piece...

    Light LED ideas.

Looks good. I've got a couple LEDs on my rig, well maybe more than a couple. ;) but I have been repping the ACE bumpers for awhile. Map lights And the "spaceship"

    DIY Doorless Side Mirrors?

I used the same Pep Boys mirror but actually hate it because it is a "trailer" mirror that really distorts distance. It is a wide angle so I have to look back at my center mirror to judge how far back some one is. I haven't gotten around to searching the net for a similar size flat mirror but...

    DIY Doorless Side Mirrors?

Thread the end of a bar, torch a few bends, weld on a tab and a nut, bolt on a mirror.

    HDR Photography

A couple years ago I did some researching and found a blog at www.stuckincustoms.com. It's by a pro photographer and has a bunch of stunning pics, app links and an HDR tutorial. A lot of great stuff. Here's one of his pics. I haven't really put the time in so my skills are weak but a girl that...

D rings on a stock bumper!

I know teraflex makes front bolt ons and Evo makes rear bolt ons but neither will work with the stock bumper in place. They aren't cheap either. I would save your cash for new armor. The stock tow hooks are fine.

    Broken axles

Here's how we got a TJ with a snapped rear axle off the trail. Do not try this at home! Funny part was he is a plumber so the crack is professional. We ratchet strapped a HiLift handle to the frame rails and dumped gear oil on the tire to keep the wheel in. It actually worked.

I wish my rig actually looked this cool on the trail. I gotta find out what effects she used on this pic.

    Manual transmission water crossing

It only works in 4L and I'm pretty sure only 1st and 2nd gear. At first the starter motor will be turning everything, then when the motor starts it will be at crawl speed. You don't need to touch the gas. It will be a slow movement. Don't do it on dry pavement though, 4L should be only used off...

When my engine blew I spent 2 months driving a rental minivan. It was degrading. It did have a nice leather pouch in the center console to leave my testicles in while I drove it. I did flex it out nice once on a curb though.

I made my own flat fenders out of 1/8" aluminum. The wells did look horrible uncovered but some flat black spray made them nice again. Before After

Welded mine on. The tricky part is the tub is wider in back than the front. You need to make the rear braces a little longer.

Watch out for hidden obstacles! OUCH...

On a trip to Big Bear we had a guy do kinda the same thing but without the leg stabbing part. He ran over a branch on the trail and stood it up into the tranny. It wedged between the body, trans and exhaust so tight it took a sawzall to remove it. The point came out next to his shifter making it...

    The Kraken thread

I feel your pain. I've got 4 panel plugs covering holes in the dash I've used for switches, built a stock stereo mount for them and bought the tuffy overhead box to move out the stereo. Then when I put the cage in I built a box for the switches swapped everything back. There really isn't much...

Its about that time.......lets take the doors off

Had the doors off yesterday. Bought mine just over a year ago. The first trail I did out of Vegas was 3 weeks later and I hit snow. The trail and the snow got worse (Potato Ridge) but I was too busy wetting my pants to take pictures.
