Great thread! I've been on a hiatus for a bit, but when I saw this thread I remembered our trip to the Desert View Tower and Boulder Park we stumbled across this place while we were out on a day trip to Anza Borrego. The tower was cool but the thing that got my attention was the Boulder Park...

I know this event was a few weeks back, but it was still a blast, even with the rain. Here's a couple more shots from the day. Enjoy!

Ditched work today and did some exploring around Big Bear.

So today started out as good as any day could, but on the way home from work my jeep popped out of gear after accelerating from a stoplight. I coasted into a parking lot and tried to get it back into gear. 1st and 2nd was all I could get, and reverse was a no go. I pushed it out of the parking...

Here's a photo of the resisters I used on my rig. I purchased these on Amazon a while back. When the lights flicker it's not like they get full power and flicker its more like a dim flicker at a slow rate. the clips you see just snap on to the factory wires.

I ran the pods on some thin aluminum Sheet metal that I cut and put a bend in it, nothing crazy that way if one gets crushed it's easy to replace. One each side on the front frame mount bracket. And a chain of them underneath each side. Total each side 11 pods. I hope this helps!

I use the Gaia GPS app too. Hands down winner winner chicken dinner. I also use the Garmin GLO with it, it's a GPS that connects to your iPad using using Bluetooth. I think I paid around $100 for it. It's really helpful with location accuracy when you're in more remote areas.
