Well, after having to take some time off to recover from a minor surgery I’ve finally been able to get back on the CJ. Having a decent amount of off time had me thinking about stuff and ultimately decided that if we may end up down the road doing shoulder harnesses then we better just do it now...

I did!

Started working on the cage today, just getting the A-pillar stanchions mocked up and seeing how fitment is going to be. All in all it lines up about as best as you could hope. Gonna be a bit before I can really get back on it though. Slow process but hey, it’s not my daily.

One final thing to finish the floor, grabbed some Quadratec floor liners for the front, simply for the ease of cleaning.

My goal this weekend was to get all the excess carpet and adhesive out and I’ve got about 99% of it gone. Next will be to sand, fix some small surface rust locations and then the Raptor liner. As soon as the Raptor is applied I will start working on the new cage.

I got the interior gutted and the carpet pulled, out of all the bolts only one from the driver seat was rusted, hit it with penetrant, a torch and it’s stuck lol. But hey, not bad for a 45 year old Jeep!! Now to remove the old cage and prep the floor for Raptor liner. Then onto prepping the...

Got everything unpackaged and inventoried, going to start prepping the jeep in the next few weeks.
