    Recovery kit questions

Getting the jeep set up for some recovery, and using some gift cards and promotions available to me. I want to throw out what I have ordered, and get suggestions on anything else I may need. I used the info posted here to help me with the purchases so far (Thanks Eddie!)...

WIN a Set of NEW Rancho RS5000X Shocks + BONUS!!

2012, stock Rubicon suspension right now. First forray back to Jeep since I got out of college, when I had a pair of XJ's. Wanting to do a small boost on it to fit 35s for a little more clearance. Have the tires in the garage, along with an Evo Protek skid setup, and a winch. "mod list" Trek...

    Bumpers...

I got a Power Plant, and I need a place to keep it. I figured the front of the jeep made the most sense, so here we are. A couple things I want: Sunk/lowered winch mounting. I dont want the winch covering the grill. Width - I like stubbys, but I like the bumper to be the width of the grill...

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

I was pretty happy. Found it on Ebay, but it was local pick up only, which I'm sure cut way down on buyers. I had a bid in significantly higher, but ended up almost stealing it. Helps cover the cost of a new bumper and a synthetic line as an upgrade...

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

Got home with this: So I get to Houston and the seller uses the air compressor to remove the wheel from the truck, then disconnects that, and run the winch in and out to make sure it is working. Disconnect/remove everything, load it into the back of my car, and I drive back home...

What kind of pets do you have

So our GSD decided she wanted to sleep, but it was apparently too bright in the room. At least, thats what I can figure out.

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

That is perfect, thanks! I will be checking it out during the day (so I shouldnt need a light), but I will check the winch first, then run the compressor. And the price is definitely right - I will post up pictures and brag if it makes it home with me.

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

Did you notice a difference, or did you just experience the issue, and send it in and they told you what was repaired? I hate to sound obtuse, and I know how to check if something is tight, but was it a part defect or failure, or a known issue I should fix before it goes bad? Thanks!

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

Can you get a picture of the power post connection that they repaired? I am schedule to go pick it up on Friday. Purported to only be used for the air compressor, never used the winch. We shall see when we get there, but I am excited

    Any Mountain Bikers?

Some great rides in here! I have slowed down a lot over the past year and a half, as my riding partners have dwindled some. changes in work schedule and some medical issues with the wife that have moved to some less strenuous time together are taking over, but need to get back on the trail...

Who wants a Warn Zeon 8000S for $880 delivered?

Nice find. The Zeon 8 with wire would be down to about $640, the XD9000 only a bit more. VR8000 under $400

    Cordless Impact Gun?

It's hard to compare, the only real challenger to the big Milwaukee is the Ingersoll Rand 20v. But Milwaukee also has a couple in the 350-450 lb range as well, which probably make a better comparison

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

Thanks for the info! In case anyone else is looking, I was able to use the Wayback machine to get the old Warn site to pull up some details. So it is giving up some line speed, but the rest of the specs look pretty similar

    Cordless Impact Gun?

The reason I went the cordless route was simply a cost-vs-performance issue. I already decided to go to Milwaukee for battery tools, and knowing I could get the cordless version with twice the power of most corded versions, for about the same price, made this an easy choice. Plus the fact that...

What was updated with Warn PowerPlant changes a couple years ago?

I may have a line on a used Warn Powerplant not too far from me. It is hard to tell, but it looks like it is one of the older ones (person thought they have had it for about 4-5 years), and form my searching it appears that Warn "updated" the powerpant around 2013. Does anyone know what the...

    Cordless Impact Gun?

Also wanted to add in, if anyone was planning on taking advantage of the $150 off promo for a 2 piece kit (or $100/$50 off for lower priced kits) the offer is supposed to end on Feb 1st...

Which "budget boost" or ~2" lift?

At this point (no thanks to all of the stuff on this forum) I am considering 37s, in the future. For that to happen and me to be happy, I know I will want a regear (or new axle), probably a 3 to 4" lift, new drive shaft. I also know that I dont want to waste a bunch of money on stuff that will...

Apparently 6 hours only. Most of their sales are full day. Code on the side will still get you a bit of a discount though.
